Kelburn Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading global business who provide specialist solutions to a range of industries such as Energy, Aviation and Defence. They are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager with a technical background who can be the primary point of contact for their expanding customer base in the UK.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, the successful Candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts and developing new business within allocated territory. They will be responsible for:
- Generating sales by technical presentations and direct liaison with potential Clients
- Produce quotations and proposals
- Liaise between Customer and technical team within the business
- Carry out market analysis
- Attend exhibitions and seminars
- Introduce new sales techniques to the team
- Produce reports to present to management team
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold a degree in an Engineering or technical discipline (ideally mechanical or similar)
- Have previous experience in a technical sales role, particularly in selling a customised solution
- Have an understanding of CAD packages
- Be experienced in selling to European markets
- Have experience of selling into industries such as Aerospace, Defence and electronics or similar
- Be able to work autonomously or as part of a multi-skilled team
- Have excellent communication and organisation skills
- Be self-motivated
