Our client is a Consett based manufacturing company and part of a global group. They have seen considerable growth over the last few years, have launched new products into the market and continue to strive to be the best. They now have a new job opportunity available for a Business Improvement Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.
The Job:
• Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager
• Design, development and build equipment to assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing, ie work stations, dollies and trollies, etc.
• Maintain relevant documentation
• Help with driving continuous improvement
• Work with Operators to introduce new equipment
• Involvement in 5S and continuous improvement
• Problem solving
• Source raw materials, parts, equipment and devices
The Person:
• Machining and manufacturing experience
• Must have worked in a lean/continuous improvement environment
• Possibly apprentice served or with an ONC or equivalent
• A systematic and logical approach to problem solving
• Able to prioritise your workload
• Team player
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
• Have attention to detail
