Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer and part of a global organisation. They are currently recruiting for a Customs Clearance Manager to join the business in a newly created permanent role for their site in Washington.
The Job:
· Preparing and advising the management team in respect of all customs clearance aspects
· Guiding the company through AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) Accreditation
· Ensuring that custom clearance processes post Brexit are implemented
· Interacting with HMRC, customers, suppliers and freight forwarders
The Person:
· Previous team leadership in an import/export operations environment
· Excellent knowledge of import/export documentation
· Ideally AEO exposure
· Experience of dealing with EU and non EU operations
· IT literate
· Strong inter personal skills
· A relevant qualification
