Digital E-commerce Marketing Executive

Salary Up to £27k basic salary DOE

Holidays 33 days per year

My client, a globally recognised livestock products manufacturer based in the North East are looking for a Digital E-Commerce Marketing Executive to join and become a key member of their marketing team.

Job Purpose

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking e-commerce marketing activities within the agreed marketing strategy to ensure optimum branding and competitive performance, whilst maintaining a flexible and positive approach to customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Development of website and other digital platform content development in line with Marketing Strategy
  • Optimisation of Website to maximise exposure to customer groups
  • Website navigation development to improve customer journey to improve browse to buy conversion rates
  • To conduct data analysis and data mining to support ongoing marketing activities
  • To conduct analysis on various marketing initiatives as defined in the marketing strategy to determine effectiveness.
  • To conduct market surveys on new products or initiatives, as per the marketing strategy.
  • To ensure that all communications to customers and internally are clear, relevant and they support the brand and Company.
  • To identify market intelligence relevant to the business and report to the senior management team in a relevant format or report.
  • To identify to management any product which requires redevelopment or re-branding.
  • To conduct research and analysis of financial, technological and demographic factors.
  • To liaise with other managers/colleagues to assist in R&D or NPD.
  • To contribute to the financial management of the department by conducting activities within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role or remuneration package and deemed suitable by management.

Knowledge and experience


  • Experience of e-commerce marketing role in a business to customer environment
  • Experience in managing online marketing campaigns, updating content and optimising online resources
  • Experience of working towards targets
  • Has experience of analysing e-commerce initiatives, market and technical data
  • Astute Business Acumen with good commercial background demonstrated via qualification or relevant career history.
  • Appreciation and understanding of overall business systems, processes and procedures.
  • Has a wider knowledge of external factors affecting the business and their implications.

This role is based 10 miles from Newcastle  and 9 miles from Durham, free parking is available
