Based in Hexham, Northumberland, our client is looking to recruit mechanical fitters to join their busy engineering team as the company goes from strength to strength. There are currently opportunities available for mechanical fitters to join them, initially on a temporary ongoing basis and in return you will be offered an attractive hourly pay rate of £15 - £18 per hour.
Based in Hexham, the working hours for the maintenance fitter role are Monday to Friday 07.30 – 1600 although overtime may be available during busy periods.
Duties for the maintenance fitter role will include: * Being part of a team working on new and existing machinery * Fault finding and rectification * Breakdowns * Assembly and bolting of components We are ideally looking for a time served Mechanical Fitter with ideally two years’ experience in mechanical engineering. Basic welding / FLT / MEWP is advantageous but not essential.
