Our client is a privately owned food manufacturing company with multiple UK sites. They are looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis at their facility South of the Tyne.
The Role:
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager
• Installation and maintenance of factory machinery and equipment to maximise productivity
• Carry out PPM and one off repairs / improvements to machinery
• Work on relevant projects as required
• Help develop and improve existing processes
• Adhere to all Quality, H&S and Hygiene standards
• Assist with Risk Assessments
• Maintain a continuous improvement environment
• Other Ad hoc duties as required
The Person:
• Ideally educated to HNC or BTEC Level in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Experience in food manufacturing environment
• Able to problem solve and make decisions
• Have some PLC fault-finding/maintenance experience
• Good IT and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility to work shifts
