As a leading manufacturer of specialised products for the leisure industry, our client, who are based in the Consett area are now looking to recruit a Process Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

• Report to the General Manager

• Improve manufacturing and supply processes to meet and exceed customer expectations

 •Optimise productivity ensuring the supply of materials are managed efficiently

•Propose and establish manpower figures in order to meet targets and work within agreed timescales and budgets

• Guide process and material cost reduction schemes

• Produce reports as necessary

• Monitor market trends

• Drive quality and efficiency whilst creating error-proof process plans

• Work with design teams to ensure processes run smoothly

• Assess and review the progress of all staff reporting in to you

• Liaise closely with other managers and areas of the business and maintain effective communication at all times

• Adhere to all health and safety requirements and keep informed of any new legislation

• Carry out accident investigations and review risk assessments as needed

• Promote continuous improvement processes

• Manage recruitment, management and development of employees within your team

 

The Person:

• Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or manufacturing discipline

• Have worked in in a similar position

• Able to liaise with people at all levels within a business

• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Have excellent leadership skills and able to motivate teams

• Able to manage time effectively and be flexible to business needs
