Production Operatives - Newcastle & Gateshead

Due to an exciting period of growth and an extremely busy order book, our client who have a strong name within the food industry are looking for Production Operatives to join them on a temp to perm basis. Working  a dayshift pattern, this is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with an exciting company. Our client is located in the Gateshead area, very close  to a Metro station but also offer free car parking, career progression and job security.

Working as a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • General production tasks including blending and formulation of product
  • Machine operation
  • Maintain strict food-safe cleanliness following hygiene procedures
  • Quality inspection of product before dispatch
  • Assist distribution team with preparing orders ready to distribute
  • Assist with weekly stock checks
  • Manual Handling
  • Maintain company’s health & safety standards at all times ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times

The Ideal Production Operative Candidate

  • Ideally operated machinery previously within a production environment
  • Be confident completing paperwork and IT as required
  • Strong work ethic, able to work part of a team as well as individually
  • Able to hit targets as required and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment

The Hours

Hours of work as a Production Operator are 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 07.45am – 4.15pm

The Pay

As a production operator, you will receive a salary of £18,525.00 pa
