A leading specialist design and manufacturing business in the Darlington area is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager for a leading national brand you will be working with an innovative and exciting range of quality products. The successful candidate will work with a range of clients in support of the contracts team and great communication at all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders, is a key requirement.
 
The Project Manager role is a permanent job position which offers a competitive salary, attractive Company Pension scheme, 31 days annual holidays (inc B/Hs) and a 37.5 hr week.
 
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working as part of a strong and successful growing team, the Project Manager will hold a wide-ranging brief including:
  • Providing technical sales support. 
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Understanding requirements, making recommendations and developing specifications.
  • Evaluating architect drawings and technical specifications.
  • Undertaking budget and cost analysis for specific projects    
  • Production of the customer commercial package.
  • Agree and lead project requirements and objectives both internally and externally
  • Act as a facilitator for project teams to ensure delivery against project specification and deadlines
  • Supporting the sales team essential technical knowledge via promotional material and product training.
We are looking for a Project Manager with the following:
  • High motivation and a strong positive mentality.
  • Great work ethic and able to push projects through to completion.
  • Strong communicator at all levels
  • High levels of IT literacy (particularly MS packages).
  • Well educated, preferably with an engineering background.
  • Good team experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with cad software (e.g. Solid Works) would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be provided with all on the job training required (which may be supplemented with further vocational training off site) and will be working 8.45 am – 4.45 pm.
