A national training provider that delivers learning programmes across England is seeking a remote Residential Childcare Assessor to join their Apprenticeship Department and are offering a competitive salary plus bonus scheme and an attractive holiday allowance. Reporting to a Team Leader, as a Residential Childcare Assessor your duties will include:

 

  • Manage a caseload of learners

  • Complete skills scans prior to commencing the learning programme.

  • Work with the field assessor and trainer to review learner progress and set SMART objectives.

  • Plan and carry out assessments and sign off units / areas of competence.

  • Mark work submitted by the learner and provide feedback.

  • Deliver functional skills training to learners up to Level 2.

 

We are looking for a Residential Childcare Assessor with the following:

 

  • Appropriate apprenticeship assessing experience.

  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent.

  • Experience of working in a Children’s Residential Home at managerial level.

  • Appropriate management qualification within Residential Childcare.

  • A recognised Level 3 teaching qualification.

  • Very good verbal communication skills.

 

You will be working a 37.5 hour week and enjoy 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays plus a day off on your birthday.
