Our Client is an innovative business who supplies machined parts across a wide variety of industry sectors. Due to business demand, they are looking to recruit a Stores Person / Stock Controller into their team on a temp to permanent basis.
The ideal person will have experience within a manufacturing industry with a level of knowledge around purchasing / raising orders / talking to suppliers and subcontractors / booking in parts and received orders and managing stock of various items within the business. Use of computers for stock control in this role is a key requirement.
The Role
- Purchasing consumable items
- Talking to suppliers and sub-contractors on a regular basis
- Use own initiative to drive improve costs and to drive Continuous Improvement
- Conduct regular stock checks of consumable items and finished goods
- Attending Daily meeting to organise business demands
- Liaise with Team Leaders across the business to ensure daily requirements are met
- General housekeeping and agreed daily duties to ensure Health and Safety Standards are met
The Ideal Person
- Good working knowledge of managing and controlling stock
- Good attitude towards Health and Safety in the workplace
- Self-motivated and driven to ensure the business performs at its optimum level
- Will work well as a Team member whilst being self motivated
