Warehouse / Logistics Manager

Kelburn Recruitment are recruiting for an Experienced Warehouse/Logistics Manager on behalf of our client based in a fast-paced, dynamic Warehouse.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, you will manage picking and storage of stock, Goods In and dispatch, security, maintenance and administrative functions within the warehouse.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Stock control systems up to date and inventories are accurate to be able to plan future capacity requirements.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Maintain health and safety standards, hygiene and security, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals are stored safely.
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
  • Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
  • Motivate, organize and encourage the team to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
  • Organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Visit customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of forklifts, machinery and equipment
  • Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems.
  • Assisting with deliveries where required.(ex. DHL)
  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems

Essential Requirements:

  • 5+ years warehouse management experience.
  • SAP
  • Advanced Excel 
  • You will have an excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures and have a knowledge finance for stock management.
  • Have a proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,including teamwork
  • Analytical approach to work, with accuracy and attention to detail, initiative and decisiveness.

Desirable

  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Ability to operate forklift effectively.
  • a flexible approach to work as many warehouses operate shift patterns
